Like many of you, I am a working pastor.

And, as you well know the challenge of pastoral work is finding time to do all that needs to be done, including preparing several homilies each week. I rely upon the thoughts of net-wired pastors to help me accomplish this task, which caused me to want to pass on this same sort of help for other pastors. To this end I decided to share my Sunday homilies on the Gospel Text, prepared weekly for our Liturgical Service.

These are actual homilies that I preach each week. As such, they are prepared under the pressure of time and many additional responsibilities.

Of course, most preachers will probably not use these homilies wholesale, although that is certainly permissible. Instead, my hope is that the reader would find some inspiration prompted by these ideas, inspiration which would offer the percolation of one’s own preaching tracks.

If the preacher finds something here that is helpful and useful, then I'm glad. And, if you could take the time to share your thoughts in response, it would be nice to know there are readers out there!
