Prayers Of The People

Friends in Christ,

God invites us to become part of His providential care when we pray for others. As we uphold the needs of our sisters and brothers and community before Him in intercessory prayer, we partner with Him as He continually offers His life-giving flow to the world. Let us now offer our petitions on their behalf:

We pray for the Church, may God give us grace to offer Him worship, and enable us to offer Him the worship of a life that serves the poor and the forgotten,

-- LORD, Hear Our Prayer.

We pray for the Church, may God give us grace to know and walk in the ways of the Christ, in faith and love,

-- LORD, Hear Our Prayer

We pray for the unemployed and the under-employed, may God give them hope, and may He lead them to find meaningful work,

-- LORD, Hear Our Prayer.

We pray for those who bear the burden of loss and grief, may God comfort them and ring forth in their hearts new songs and a new balance for life,

-- LORD, Hear Our Prayer

We pray for the sick and those near death, may God bring healing and renewal to each one, recognizing the power of His presence and the reality of His enduring love. We now pray especially for N. and N.

-- LORD, Hear Our Prayer

Finally, we pray for peace, may God bring down violence and hatred and the slaughter of the innocents, ringing out with power the reign of justice and mercy,

-- LORD, Hear Our Prayer

Father, we love you and we gladly share the concerns of our neighbors, as we pray: LORD, HAVE MERCY

We offer this prayer through our LORD Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with YOU, and the HOLY Spirit; one God, for ever and ever, Amen.
